Do you see the number is the upper right-hand corner? Yes, it reads 4, 287 emails currently in my inbox. Of course, they date back to months ago because with GMail you leave all messages in your inbox and add pretty labels for organizing purposes. I delete numerous emails a day but sometimes I have to keep them because they are so special. I didn’t have any sales or coupon codes or anything else all that interesting in there today so I thought I would share a few emails that I love reading over and over again.
here’s one from a while ago that makes me laugh every time I read it…

Or the lovely informative emails from Jenna…
read below about carrots…hmmm i did not know and always thought they looked so
pretty and clean!Sub: BABY CARROTS
The following is
information
from a farmer who grows and packages carrots for IGA, METRO,
LOBLAWS, etc.
The small cocktail (baby) carrots you buy in small plastic
bags are made
using the larger crooked or deformed carrots which are pulled
through
a
machine which cuts and shapes them into cocktail carrots. Most
people probably
know this already.
What you may not know is the
following:Once the
carrots are cut and shaped into cocktail carrots
they are dipped in a solution
of water and chlorine in order to preserve
them.
This is the same chlorine
used in your pool.
Since they do not
have their skin or natural protective
covering,
they give them a higher
dose of chlorine.
You will notice that
once you keep these carrots in
your
refrigerator for a few days, a white
covering will form on the
carrots. This is the chlorine which resurfaces. At what cost do we put
our health at risk to have esthetically pleasing
vegetables which are
practically plastic?
We do hope that this information
can be passed on
to as many people as possible in the hopes of informing them
where these
carrots come from and how they are processed.Chlorine is a
very
well known carcinogen.
Please let us make this information available to
as many people as
possible. If you care about your family and friends,
pass
it on.
I cherish the emails from Annie too. The part about Jenna’s blog makes me crack up out loud every time I read it…
Andrea Gilio to Jenna, me
How are my 2 bffs? Have nice weekends?
Nina you seem busy as a bee. If I
don’t look at your blog for a few days I
can
barely keep up! Homecoming
looked fun, as did pizza and the Phillies
game on the
big screen with
Mike! Jenna- what up with your blog? It blows!
Haha. JK. I had a
nice
weekend to Louisville, driving wasn’t bad at all. Ian
had a good b-day! He
appreciated both your FB comments! Love and Miss!
Until next Tuesday, that’s what’s in my inbox!

Thanks for sharing!! I did NOT know about the carrots – Yikes!
I love all the funny emails!
Not to be a party pooper but I always fact check any forward I get about health risks, or safety risks, or anything with an urban legend fact sight called snopes.com. As it tuns out more than half of the forwards you get talking about safety tips for women, and what not are fakes…. Anyway, I looked up the baby carrot email and here is what they had to say. Just thought I’d share the resource….
