Vodka Lemonade, Anyone?

We enjoyed pink lemonades poolside yesterday. It was a beautiful day. The Rose family came over to take it some sun & fun. Of course, Parker was the center of our attention but we loved every minute of it. He was jumping off the side of the pool and swimming like a fish…. I think he might be the next Michael Phelps.

After a long day in the sun, we spent the evening at Walker’s Bluff Winery. It was the first event for the vineyard and I (along with everyone else) was impressed to say the least. They had stations set up around the grounds for martinis, wine, beer & hors d’oeuvres. I indulged in a few pomegranate martinis while socializing with old friends and making a few new ones too! A great time was had by all. Rumor has it, the plans also include a 60-room hotel with spa and a fine-dining restaurant.

The sun decided not to join us today, so we are staying indoors. Pasta for lunch, snack and wine mid-day (as I type) and we are going to take in a movie or two in the media room this evening. I’m not sure if we’ll see fireworks tonight or not.

Millions and millions of thanks to our service men and women that fight and have fought for our freedoms! I hope you are enjoying time with the ones you love today and making lots of wonderful memories along the way.
