Update

by Nina on June 16, 2006

I apologize for my absence the last month or so. A lot has been going on in this crazy thing I refer to as my life. It’s more like a sitcom these days, but what would we do without a little drama?

I just finished the latest issue of Life&Style… Jen to Vince: “Yes, I’ll marry you!” while enjoying a fresh Cobb salad with peppercorn dressing. So, I thought it was the perfect time to catch you up! Before I run out for my afternoon Latte!

So, here’s the scoop…

Work:
I’ve been swamped! As of right now, we are producing bags for Rubbermaid Home Products & they are on schedule to launch in major retail stores by the end of the year. Huge!

Slit my wrists:
Yesterday, I had a really bad morning. I decided I would get out of the office for a while and indulge in a quick manicure. I walk into the salon down the street (thinking I won’t see anyone I know at 11:30 am on Thursday – wishful thinking) and a girl I went to high school with is sitting at the station next to me. So, not only did I have to exchange a friendly “Oh, how are you? Great to see you!” greeting, I had to talk to her through the entire manicure. Relaxation – VOID!

Social:
I spent last weekend in the city. Even though the weather was cold & raining I had a fabulous weekend.

Friday night I had the pleasure of celebrating Lauren’s birthday with her at Avenue M. I give it 4-Stars! Happy Birthday, Laur – Welcome to the middle!

I started my Saturday at Einstein’s for a poppy seed bagel & a large coffee followed by a mani/pedi at Pinky’s! Some how I squeezed in a quick trip to the early summer sale at J Crew for some comfy featherweight cashmere sweaters. Great deal! Popped into Charles David only to find a breathtaking pair of leopard peep-toe pumps – I’m officially obsessing over them!

Late afternoon, the girls and I made our way to the Old Town Art Fest for a few cold brews & a funnel cake. Got the beer – Missed out on the cake. I was not a happy camper!

The Damen Girls made a cameo at the LaSalle Bank Open on Sunday at the Glen Club. Thanks to Adam we had VIP tickets & enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace.

PH’s: The code has been broken… I had to deleted.

With that being said, I must get back to work.
