Where do I even start!?! I know I’ve been lacking in posts recently — A lot has been going on & to be honest for about the last four months, I’ve been completely disinterested in posting (for numerous reasons that I’ll leave for another day). Then I came across a newspaper article about Julie Powell (Julie & Julia) and Julie was quoted saying, “You must set aside the ‘how many hits am I getting?’ ‘am I going to get Daily Beast linking to me?’ And get back to the basics of ‘I’m going to do this because I love it.”
I love writing my blog and I especially love the friends I’ve made because of my blog. I love reading your blogs and I think there is so much talent in our little network here that it makes me want to start a corporation just so I can hire all of you. We would really give Martha, Rachael & Paula a run for their money!

You’ve heard about him and now it’s time for you to meet him, let me introduce to you… JH!!!!!
Let’s back up 3+ months. I had my bags packed for a 4 week stay in Chicago. I had meetings and even a couple of dates planned. I was excited about spending lots of time with my best friends and reporting from Einstein’s. It was the Tuesday before I was supposed to leave, I was having dinner with Mandy and our families. While we were at dinner, Mandy received a Facebook message from J informing her that he would like to meet her friend Nina. I was hesitate at first but that’s only because I didn’t know J. After a little convincing from everyone at the table, I agreed to meet J for dinner the next night. We met for dinner. We talked and laughed until we were the last people in the restaurant. We had lunch the next day and well, the rest is history. Perfect example of how unexpected turns can lead you into the right direction. He makes me laugh so hard my stomach hurts. I’m happier than I’ve been in a long, long time.
More news. Big news. Are you ready? I was offered a job with an amazing marketing/ad/multimedia firm last week and I accepted it earlier this week. Can you believe it!? I start this coming Monday. I was not interviewing but I could not pass up the opportunity. Yet another perfect example of unexpected turns.
It’s going to be a big change for me, my family and my blog readers (ha!), but I’m confident this is a great thing for all involved. I’m looking forward to sharing this new journey with all of you as well.
So, let’s raise our virtual glasses to unexpected turns leading us into the right direction.
