Dear Readers,
As most of you already know, our family lost three dear loved ones over the last ten days. We attended the third funeral yesterday and it has been really tough to watch our family go through such a sad time. Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Tom and “Uncle” Jim, they will each be missed very much.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jenna, Andrea & Ian for Guest Posting in my absence. They did a terrific job… I even started to worry that you might like to keep them for good. hah! It really meant a lot to me to be able to count on my friends to keep you, my readers, entertained while I was unable to. I can’t believe the picture from college… oh the late 90s! Maybe we can convince Jenna, Ann & Ian to Guest Post on a more regular basis…?
Thanks to the Verizon Wireless people and the invention of the “broadband card” I have Internet again. YAY! Still waiting for the DSL to be reconnected…ahhh. The line was accidentally cut… likely story, huh? So anyway until Tuesday I’m connected to cyberspace through a little white devise that plugs into my free USB port… amazing I tell you.
Okay… so I’m hoping to have more gift recommendations (so that you don’t have to resort to Oprah’s list), orders completed and sent out, emails returned, and new ideas coming to you very soon!
I miss all of you very much and I cannot wait to get caught up on my Reader – 739 posts as of right now – I might not be able to comment on all of them but I will try and if I don’t please know that I enjoy reading each and every one of the posts you share with all of us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your stories with me and for reading my stories in return. I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful network of people here in the blogosphere!
Happy Friday, Friends!!
xoxo

P, Mando and Gigi invited me to join them for lunch today… Thanks again M, it was delicious!!

It’s good to have you back! I’m sorry to hear about your family’s tragedies! I’m thinking about you, girl!
So sorry to hear about your families’ loss.
Such a cute picture!!
I just found your blog last night & I must say that I love it. Even the guest posts–it's great to have such amazing friends, huh? Also, I'm really sorry for your loss. We lost 3 very important people in a month this summer–one being my grandfather who was my heart and soul. So, while I don't know exactly what you're going through, I can sympathize. It never goes away, but it will get easier. At least that's what they keep telling me! Although, I’m still waiting…I just have to keep telling myself that I have more guardian angels now. Perfect thought for the holidays, right?
I missed you, and I am so sorry for the losses of your three loved ones.
Nina, your guest posters were entertaining, and I enjoyed them, but it’s good to see you back.
I must admit that Ann, Ian, and Jenna did a great job in your absence (I loved their stories), but no one can replace the “Nina” that makes “Nina Knows Best” so wonderful!
Cute pic of the P Man and thanks for hanging out all day!
oh Nina!!! I am so sorry for your losses but we are all so glad to have you back!!!!!!!! We’ve missed you and I hope we can meet up while you are in Dallas!!
Nina, I am so sorry to hear that you all lost not one, not two, but three family members. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Wow Nina – I didn’t know it was three, I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I’m praying for your family. Welcome back to blogland. We missed your style, sass and snippets of wonderfulness!
Glad you’re back! We definitely need some gift lists as the word on the street is that Oprah isn’t doing her favorite things this year…
Oh, NINA! I JUST saw this! I am SO SO SO sorry about your loss! SAD TIMES!!!
