Planning a Party? Need Supplies?

by Nina on March 26, 2011

I did a lot of running around this week. Just thinking about it makes me tired. I have a very long list of projects going on right now.

  1. I’m still in the process of decorating our home.
  2. Merging the guest room and home office into one room.
  3. Baby Jack’s room.
  4. Planning Andrea’s Bridal Shower (which is coming together quite nicely & I’m so excited about all the details).

You get the idea.

While I’m out, my eyes are always wide-open for deals, steals and good finds. You never know when you are going to come across your next inspiration piece or hard-to-find item for a party.

Before I tell you about these beverage servers… If you host a lot of parties or find yourself looking for drink dispensers frequently, I highly suggest investing in one (or two, if you’re like me. I’m on a mission to own three but that’s just between you & me) that is well-made with a stainless spigot. I recently purchased my second Savannah Beverage Server from Willow House and I thank myself each and every time I pull them out.

With all of that said, if that’s not your thing for whatever reason but you still would like a fun and convenient way to serve drinks at your next party… Head to your local Wal-Mart store and pick up these plastic dispensers for the low, low price of $15.00! These are the large ones. They also have a smaller size.

I found these Post-it (one of my all-time favorite office brands) Labels at my local Target store. Besides labeling household items, if the colors match your party theme you could use them to label your beverage servers!

“Mocktails” or “Cocktails” – “Tea” or “Lemonade”

I love everything about parties but I’m especially fond of reusable party supplies! For instance, if you have two children celebrating birthdays this Summer, you might consider buying the white tubs and ordering vinyl decals for each party instead of buying the blue and the purple. This will also allow you to reuse them for holidays, backyard BBQs and many more birthdays in the future. Just a little money saving tip!

I took this picture at our local Target on Thursday. Head to your local Target to stock up, these items do not last long!

Love all these ideas. Party planning is not my strong point, so I love good tips. That picture of the Target aisle makes me happy. Makes me so ready for a summer backyard cookout!!

I haven’t seen those plastic dispensers at our Wal-mart yet! But I will be grabbing a few when they get here! Thanks for the tips!
