I feel like Erin and I were just talking about the idea of hosting Halloween parties and now it’s here. Spooktacular Week is here! I’m very excited about our party on Saturday and having all of our friends over for some tricks, treats and lots of yummy food!
The majority of our menu came from the Goose Berry Patch Halloween book that I posted about in my Halloween Hostess & Printable Decor post. I’ve since found the recipes on myrecipes.com so I could share them with all of you.

Brew Ha-Ha Punch, Monsteroni Salad (minus the oregano), Mummy Hot Dogs, Monster Eyes
Giverslog’s Chili and Cornbread in a Jar recipe
The Girl Who Ate Everything’s 3-Ingredient Root Beer Pulled Pork for the BBQ sliders
Mazola Oil cupcakes are our very own family recipe
We’re going to use our own recipe for the Chicken Chili, as well as the Baked Beans.

Our Best Bites’s Witches Wands. Image also via Our Best Bites.
Now that our menu is set, it’s time to make our grocery list and run to Hobby Lobby for what we hope to be the last time before the party! ha! We like to start decorating a few days before. You know you’re a party planner when you buy 20 bags of candy corn and you HATE the taste of candy corn. All for decoration! It’s a good thing they’re 10 for 10 at Kroger right now!
We’re getting word from all of our best boos and ghouls that they will definitely be here to take hayrides and roast some s’mores! It’s going to be so much fun!
If you’re hosting a Halloween party, don’t forget to check out Sweet Birdie’s Nest for lots of adorable printables!!

That looks like it is going to be a FANTASTIC Halloween party!
Funny thing, the recipe for the Crunchy Batwings is the exact same, same picture exactly, in my Southern Living Christmas Cookbook 2011. Are they both part of the same bigger company maybe?
Thank you for the compliment! Yes, I think they are associated with Southern Living somehow but I wonder why SL would put Crunchy Batwings in their Christmas cookbook? Seems strange!
My bad, they are the same except they are called Creole Fried Bow Ties in the Christmas book. So I guess if you want to use them for a Mardi Gras party down the line your set!
It’s actually a great Christmas cookbook if you are looking for one for any upcoming Christmas parties!
I am hoping you will be posting party pics too!!!!!!!!! Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m making witches wands today for all of our nieces, nephews and Godchildren. I love sending care packages to the kiddos for Holidays! What a fantastic party you have planned- have fun!
