I completely hear you. Some days I even entertain the idea of starting another – anonymous – blog. Not because of any of you fine Interweb friends, but to give me a place to vent on topics concerning my real life. But then who has the time for multiple blogs? Not me!

I enjoy your blog and know you in real life…however, don’t ever feel the need to censor because of me, I pretty much always say out loud exactly what I am thinking! At least yours will be written and more well thought out..haha. I have enjoyed getting to know you even better and think you are pretty rad!! I totally dig you and your DQ partner in crime together too. Let me just say Taursedes has crossed my mind countless times since then. hahahahaha. Keep up the good work Nina and thanks a ton for jumping in on our Young Professionals Group!!! I value your ideas and your opinions, you are already a huge asset to us!!!

I’m more of the thinking that if people I know in real life find my blog, that’s fine; but I don’t always tell people I have one. Of course, Cafe Fashionista is about fashion; so aside from an embarrassing childhood story here and there, my main focus is merchandise. I believe that you just have to stay proud of your writing and your work – regardless of what others think.

I can relate. I don’t have a major following, but I told my sister about it, who told my mom, who told my dad, who told all of the extended family… and now they read it every day! Same thing with my in-laws – my husband told them, and now relatives that I’ve never even met are emailing me, telling me how much they love reading it and being a part of our lives. I really like the fact that it’s a way for me to connect with all of these people and be involved with them, but it’d be nice to be able to vent. I’ve really thought about creating a new blog, but I’m not sure that I have energy!

Have you considered creating a private blog, you could control the people viewing and what not? Or just keep it entirely annonomyus, start from scratch and nobody knows its you…while you are still mainstream according to nina? And not associate it with this blog?
Just my thoughts. But its your blog, you should feel comfortable to share what you wish.

I have a lot of entries that I have ALMOST published, but they’re saved…one day they’ll come out!

Anyways–question for ya! I figured you’d give some great advice on this sort of topic. I have 3 weddings to go to this fall/early winter. I am completely baffled as to what to wear. I need to start keeping my eye open as fall stuff starts popping up. But, one is a November, probably not formal, but not completely casual…and the other two will most likely be somewhat formal…in Dec/January.
