Here are the finalists for the Photofiddle Mother’s Day photo contest. I couldn’t decide on my own so I’m hoping that you will help me.
Photo #1

This is a picture of my Mom (on the left Cindy) running her 4th Half Marathon. She is 66 years old and started running when she was 64….she is a HUGE inspiration!
Photo #2

This is from July 22, 2006 (my wedding day) sadly it was also the last time my Mom was able to walk around her friends and family – she has a debilitating disease called neuropathy. Neuropathy is usually associated with Diabetes and MS – only in my Mom’s case the Dr.’s cannot find out the cause. We have spent months at a time at the University of Virginia and Norfolk General hospital with no solution. For now we keep searching for a cause and a cure but my Mom’s attitude stays positive and thankful for what she does have. She’s going through physical therapy and we continue to pray for her recovery every day!
Photo #3

This is my favorite picture of my mom as it captures an unplanned moment. She was looking at me and telling me that while she was so happy I was marrying the man of my dreams, it pained her a little bit to know that she would be handing over her greatest joy in life to someone else. It was so beautiful and we were both in tears shortly after.
Photo #4

Of course I had to enter this FAB contest
Here is a pick of my mom… I could have picked so many others of her on her wedding day (last Easter), but this one shows her joy and delight that day. I love laughing photos!
Please leave a comment with your vote for the best picture. The winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Photofiddle.com.
Thank you for your help!!

Just happened to come across your blog… my mom is also suffering from neuropathy also with no known cause. Like your family, we get through it being thankful for what she still has, knowing it could get worse any day. I’ll keep your mom in my prayers as well.
I vote for #2. They are all deserving, but #2 is so touching.

All are great pictures. I like #1 the best.
They are all deserving but I have to go with #1 which is so inspirational!
I vote #1. That is wonderful that at 66 she is still running a marathon. My grandmother at 92, still lives on her own and drives…short distances. Go Cindy.
I vote for picture #1!
