Oscar Honesty

by Nina on March 8, 2010

SJP – Don’t go to the local “Sun Your Buns” for a spray tan when you are going to the Academy Awards. If a spray tan is necessary. Pay the money for perfection. The picture below shows that the Internet is far more kind than HD.

Her bun, Kooky or cool? Personally, I think it looks like a giant cinnamon roll.

George – GC is just classic hotness. Cracked me up when Elisabetta tried to get the microphone on the red carpet. I thought she was going to fall forward! Newsflash, you are George’s arm candy. That’s it. No one is going to let you speak!

J Lo – Rumor has it that when Jennifer started acting she insured her voluminous booty. It’s obvious she hasn’t been able to collect any money yet because her bootay is still uber-bootylicious…. especially when packaged in bubble wrap.

Tina Fey – Kind of over her.

Miley Cyrus – Stand up straight, child.

Kate Winslet – Love her.

Meryl – Whom I love, as well. But she looked like she was dressed for an 80′s party.

Kathy Ireland – She looked SO uncomfortable that my arms actually hurt for her. Horrible dress choice. I thought she looked pregnant.

I chuckled out loud when the question “Who doesn’t love Sandra Bullock?” was asked and I quickly blurted out, “Blue-Eyed Bride!” haha!

In the words of my friend, Planning Forever … It was confirmed The Lady in Purple was selling Mary Kay in the lobby.

Tribute to Horror  – I loathe scary movies, so I pulled my Snuggie up over my face.

Demi Moore – is H O T ! I would like the name of her plastic surgeon for when I need one in 15 or 20 years.

Gerard Butler – There is no denying it, he is all-around yummy, Mel! {Name that movie?}

Michelle Pfeiffer – still an all-time favorite of mine. Her effortless beauty is magnificent. She’s a clue to the movie trivia above.

I have to say that I did love Sandra’s acceptance speech sans her weird Meryl jokes. Awkward. But when she thanked her mother and made mention of learning to love and pointing at Jesse James, one or two tears fell on my cheek. After all, this is all about honesty.

Final comments – Fire Steve & Alec.  Serve Alcohol. Less talking from the presenters & more entertainment but no more interpretive dance. We get our fill of that on So You Think You Can Dance.

To conclude, I would like to thank the Academy of the Interwebs for giving me the opportunity to write this blog and many thanks to my fans for reading. I’m beyond blessed. By the way, I only kiss boys. I love each and every one of you.

May God bless us all.

boo to the horror montage, but yay for the john hughes montage. not a fan of the cinnamon roll bun!

and not a fan of sandra. she was so stiff and awkward most of the night. but i love leann tuohy, so i’m happy that sandra won because of that.

love your acceptance speech, though! :)

i’m over tina fey, too, but maybe it’s because i think she was too hard on sarah palin! :) and i loved kate winslet. she’s flawless.

SJP’s bun reminded me of a challah loaf twisted up! heehee

I loved Miley’s dress, but I just wanted to jump through the tv and pull her shoulders back.
SJP did have a horrible spray tan. Ah, I love the red carpet.

I’m with you on the horror montage. YUCK! I muted it and closed my eyes.

Loved Sandra Bullock’s “look”, but wish she had never gotten plastic surgery. She looks like a wax figurine.

SJP looked awful. I think she was channeling Carrie Fisher in the Star Wars Hair up do.

I thought there were SO many awkward moments in the Oscars. How about when Steve and Alec joked about George Clooney, and Clooney hardly found it amusing. He was obviously annoyed and didnt even bother hiding it. AWKWARD!

I was not a fan of SJPs outfit or hair. I was really disappointed in Penelope Cruz’s dress.. did not frame her body well.

I just laughed out loud at this because you are so right. I wanted to jump through the screen and grab Miley’s shoulders and push them back. Come on girl.. your dress is amazing, stand up straight!

And SJP’s spray tan made me thing I’d somehow switched over to Jersey Shore. Bad.

When George’s gf grabbed the mic I was DYING. I give it 3 weeks until he dumps her. Usually they don’t make it more than a month after awards season.

I loved SJP, but you can read about WHY I think I felt so drawn to her overall look– the bun was so “Carrie breaking up with Aidan by the fountain” for me, and I love that!

I hated George’s combed down hair? What is up with that? And, I much prefer him to strut the Red Carpet alone… Elizabetta be gone!

Is it just me or did everyone wear a shade of gold to the Oscars? Literally, everyone?

And, last but not least, I sent you a little something to Seven Gables over a week ago and I am about to get blocked from UPS’ website I keep checking it so much to confirm its arrival… be on the lookout! Love you Twin!!
