We are in St. Louis getting ready for Opening Day! It’s one of my husband’s most favorite days of the year. Or as he likes to claim, “the best day of the year.” I told him that was a bit dramatic… what about your birthday or I don’t know, the day we got married or the future birth of our son. He quickly retracted his statement, “all true! It’s ONE of my favorite days of the year!” And honestly, I completely agree with him.

Obviously I won’t be wearing my wedding gown today, I will be wearing something similar to the outfit below. I don’t normally wear team apparel to the games with the exception of my beloved Cardinals hat! It’s a little harder to put outfits together with a growing belly but my new white maternity jeans from Boden arrived just in time for the game today.
It’s also pretty chilly here today so I’ll probably add a scarf and a jacket for the short walk to the stadium. We don’t have to dress for the weather because our seats are inside. On days like today, I’m extremely grateful for this luxury!

I love baseball! And Opening Day! Our Opening day is tomorrow and yes, I’ll be at the game and enjoying a three day weekend. Although, I’m certain my outift won’t be as cute as yours.

We are from the STL area and still root for the Cardinals, but now live in the KC area so we root for the Royals (when they aren’t playing the Cardinals). I agree about the team apparel, and I want to find a cute dress to wear to the games this year.

my husband ADORES the chicago cubs. like, he has a ridiculous amount of love for them. over 5 years of marriage i have come to enjoy baseball…my favorite is going to the games and all the junk food!

I love baseball. I have to wait for our teams opening day though. The Braves aren’t home until April 8th. I am a Cardinals fan too though, so we will be going to the April 29th game Braves game against the Cards. Have a great time!

I grew up in the city where opening day began and where it now a “holiday”. After college I lived where you do when Mark was all the talk. I used to be a huge lover of baseball until the strike in 1994? (my years are bad)…took me back. Now, I’m quite the fan of my son’s little league baseball and a local team (the Clippers) but as a mom, I spend very little time thinking of baseball because I’m too antsy to watch any sports on tv…I’d rather be where the game is going on.

I’m so upset I wasn’t able to get downtown for Opening Day! It really is a holiday in this city. My husband goes every year and had a great time yesterday, but I just couldn’t get out of work this week. Hope you guys had a great time too!
