As I mentioned on Twitter yesterday, I’ve been wearing leopard flats since 2005 but I’ve wanted a pair of pumps for sometime now. I first fell in love with the platform pumps on J.Crew this season but for numerous reasons those were not going to work for me. 1) platform heels don’t look that great in a size 5. 2) I would rather put that $300+ towards a pretty pair of boots that I will wear almost daily. But I still want a pair of leopard heels! And knowing I’ll probably ruin them before the season is over (because I’m so hard on my shoes), I wanted a less expensive pair and a wooden stack heel would be a plus! I was on Nordstrom.com and found this pair by BP. I do not own a pair of shoes by BP and I’m aware they are a very low-end brand for Nordstrom but for leopard pumps I’m thinking they might just do the trick. They remind me a little of the J.Crew Juliet pump. Don’t they?
Flat shoes tend to stay in style longer so you (or at least I) can justify spending more in that department. I own a pair of Tory Burch Abbey’s in leopard that I love. They are super comfy and if you’re a long time Twitter follower you’ve seen me wear them with my polka dot pajama pants for a late-night run to the DQ! I also happen to love the pair below by Kate Spade. These have a little more structure and I’m also a fan of the hardware on the toe.
I caught the Nate Berkus Show earlier this week when The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style featured 30 Fall Looks Using 8 Items Under $150. I love how she recommended mixing stripes with leopard and as I posted earlier this week I love red this Fall. After watching the segment, I thought I would share with you a couple of my own outfit ideas for wearing leopard this Fall.

I LOVE the idea of mixing stripes with leopard flats. Just bought a cute striped shirt at Target yesterday. Might have to splurge on some new flats since our dog ate my last pair of leopard flats!!
Hi NIna! Thanks for this post, I love leopard print but get nervous how to wear it! Do you have any idea where I can get some budget friendly leopard flats that don’t look cheap? I love Tory Burch and Kate Spade but that is not in my budget right now! Happy Fall!
Hi Sarah! Here are a couple pairs of leopard flats I found on Zappos.

The leopard shoes are super cute! I have a few pairs of BP shoes that have actually held up really well considering they are pretty inexpensive. They also come in a wide range of sizes, which is great. I need to find a good pair of leopard flats. Thanks for sharing!
Great post! I wouldn’t have thought of pairing the stripes with leopard either, but love how you put it together.
I’ve had a pair of BP shoes, and even though they’re inexpensive, they were very comfortable and last long enough.
I’m OBSESSED with the red dress! Been talking myself out of it all day!
Thanks for posting the links to the budget friendly leopard shoes…my birthday money is about to come in handy. Take care, Beth
Here are some more leopard flats. I just ordered them the other day, but haven’t rec’d them yet.
