I was at my MD at Northwestern yesterday for a routine check up & I asked abt the Swine flu panic (I have 2 small children) . He told me the super young, very old & people with compromised immune systems are really the ones at risk. Your mom is right…wash your hands & take NORMAL measures (don’t touch your eyes, don’t touch public bathroom doorknobs etc…..) It should be fine.
at the hospital I work out we have been warning people of the same things.. also try your best not to use public bathrooms during this time… it’s not just the toilet seat thats of concern but the sink, the dryer, the doorknows, the lock on the door… hundreds of poeple touch them all day long
