Jack’s 4 Months Old

Our Jack turned four-months-old on the 9th of this month. We go to the doctor this coming Tuesday. I don’t know if we are just off schedule or what but our doctor’s appointments are always the week AFTER I do these updates. Bummer. I’ll fill you in on his growth next week.

He is such a happy baby. He smiles at the smallest hello from anyone. He laughs and giggles and in just the last week he’s figured out he can make his voice louder. He starts “talking” and the more excited he gets the louder he gets. I wonder where he gets that from?

He rolls both from back to front and front to back. He goes both to the right and the left. He still gets stuck from time to time but this is happening less and less. He rolled over in his sleep the other night. It scared him but he was safe and quickly fell back to sleep. He’s sitting up really well with a little help. It’s still early for him to be doing that alone so that’s good.

He’s such a sturdy little guy! The strength of his legs amaze me! In the last month, it’s been so fun to watch him discover what his hands are capable of. He uses them more and more each day. He wants so badly to hold his bottle on his own. He does it but only for a few minutes at a time.

He’s a wonderful eater. He eats six ounces in the morning and during the day and eight ounces at bedtime. I’m ready to see how he does with rice cereal but I’m going to wait until after we visit the doctor next week.

I almost forgot, he has found his tongue too!

I fall in love with this sweet face all over again every single day. It still blows my mind that he is mine!
