Dear Jack,
Yesterday you turned 2 months old. I can’t believe how big you are getting. You are full of personality and light up our lives. You smile, coo and “talk” to us. You are very active and enjoy tummy time as well. I think you’ll be rolling over in no time. You recognize the voices of those you are around the most and even respond to sweet strangers that talk to you while we are out.
I’m not sure how much you weigh right now, we go to the doctor next week. In these pictures you are wearing a Carter’s 6 month onesie but for the most part you wear 3 months clothes.
You are a great eater! You eat 6 ounces of Similac Sensitive every three hours. You burp like a full grown man and pass the gas the same. I’m sorry if that’s embarrassing!
You are wearing a size 1 diaper. You are still wearing Pamper’s Swaddlers but from the recommendation of Miss Jennifer & Miss Laura of Moms on Call we’re going to switch to Huggies soon.
Speaking of Miss Jennifer & Miss Laura, they are the wonderful women behind Moms on Call. We LOVE them! Your Auntie Erin and Miss Callie introduced mommy to them and because of them you are an outstanding sleeper and one happy happy boy! You are adaptable and easy going. Right now you are going to bed at 9 and you wake up around 4:30 or 5. You take down about 4 – 6 ounces and go back to sleep until 7:30 or 8. After a week of nap training, you successful went down for your afternoon nap yesterday without a second of crying. You eat, you play for about an hour and then you sleep for about 2 hours during the day. And you even stay on this schedule when we are traveling or on the go. I’m so so proud of you!
You love your room and spend about 30 minutes a day in your crib playing. You love classical and instrumental music. During the day we have channel 820 “Beautiful Instrumentals” on the TV, I think it’s a sign that you have a piece of Aunt Natalie in you.
You are quite the little traveler. You’ve been to St. Louis four times, Chicago, Peoria and Kentucky Lake twice. You are also quite the little boater! You enjoy being on the water and sleep soundly even with the rock of the waves. You went to your first Cardinals game last night and you seemed to enjoy it very much.
You were baptized on August 28, 2011. We are blessed to be a part of such a wonderful parish full of loving, supportive family and friends. Everyone loves you very much. Daddy and I read stories to you about Jesus and say prayers with you each night before bedtime. I’m confident you will continue to grow into a good Catholic boy.

Mommy and daddy love you very much and still have a hard time believing you are ours to keep. You bring us so much joy!
