We celebrated Jack’s one month birthday on Tuesday. Time needs to slow down!
He is already holding his head up and responding to us when we talk to him. He smiles and enjoys tummy time. He hates having his diaper changed and being naked. He doesn’t care much for bath time either. He loves to eat, cuddle and spend time hanging out on the couch. He loves his room. He likes it to be loud, he doesn’t do well when it’s too quiet! Thank goodness because he has two very loud parents. He is wearing size 0-3 months clothes. Even though I don’t think that means anything. Clothing sizes are all over the board. He has a “newborn” outfit that just now fits him but he busted out of the Carter’s newborns like a sumo wrestler a couple of weeks ago. The doctor says he’s gaining about 2 oz per day. At this rate, he’ll be in 3-6 months in no time!
We’ve switched to size 1 Pampers Swaddlers and I was extra thankful for the transition this morning when Jack had a MAJOR BLOW OUT. Onesie had to go in the trash, the changing pad cover immediately made it’s way to the washing machine and it took Jack about a half an hour to recover. Poor little guy!
Boy, do I love that sweet face and big belly!
