We’ve all seen our fair share of choreographed wedding dances but what about a surprise wedding reception?
Did you know my parent’s wedding had a major element of surprise? My mother did not know she was getting married until the day of. No, it was not an arranged marriage! They were engaged but because my mother had a high-stress job – together as a family we planned the whole thing without her knowing. Okay, so you are probably a bit confused by now. When I reference “my parents,” I’m referring to my mom and step-dad. We are, as some say, “blended.” We planned every last detail down to packing her suitcase for their honeymoon to Italy without her knowing & we pulled it off without a glitch. Her dress was even custom made! My parents celebrated their 10 year anniversary this past February.
Everyone should leave a comment requesting Kiks to tell us her side of the story… As I’m sure you can imagine, her version is much better!

Haha…I love that story. Weren’t you measured for your mom’s dress? Even though I was only 8, I remember it being a great wedding! And, I would love to hear her side of the story. =)
