It all started with a couple harmless tweets to let my husband know how much it means to me that I’m able to make him a hot lunch at home occasionally.

A few of my darling followers paid me some extremely kind compliments.

I quickly corrected them.

This is where it gets bad.
I had turkey meatballs and tomato-basil marinara saved from Sunday that I pulled out of the fridge, I made some fresh thin spaghetti, heated up the sauce and meatballs and was ready for my handsome, hardworking husband to come home.
I pulled out a serving bowl (Pottery Barn’s recycled glass collection) that I had yet to use until today, put the sauce and meatballs in the bowl and then started adding the pasta noodles. As I started mixing it all together, I heard a POP.
If you guessed the bowl cracked from the heat, you are correct!
The bottom of the bowl fell out.
No turkey meatballs and tomato-basil marinara for us.
There was no way I was taking the chance of glass in our lunch.
See, I’m far from amazing.

Solution?
JH said I’ll just heat up the leftover chili so I decided to make him a grilled cheese.
And then I burnt it!
I’m SUPER far from amazing.

I’m going to spare you the details of our dinner.
I’ll tell you this much, I cleaned the dishes, turned ALL the lights off on that side of the house and now I’m sitting on the couch participating in the Zulily Twitter party and reading the most recent ridiculous & most likely fake stories in a Life & Style magazine. Sometimes a trash magazine is necessary.
Before I go, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the comments and tweets yesterday about our baby boy! I love our blogging community and all of the wonderful people it has brought into my life. Love you all!
