Here’s the thing about white jeans… Some people love them, some people hate them. I firmly believe if you are a hater, it’s only because you haven’t landed the perfect pair!
The main pieces to the white denim puzzle: material, rise, pockets, and leg.
Material: With white, you must buy high quality denim. Cheap white material is gross. You can see the lines in the fabric and the person walking behind you can see the imperfections of your backside (not good!).
Rise, Pockets and Leg: First things first, decide how you are going to wear them and what you are going to wear with them.
Are you going to wear them to work, are they going to be a day-jean or a night-jean, are you going to wear them with heels or flats, are you going to wear them with a sweater, tunic or a jacket and the list goes on…
Example: When I bought my Lands’ End white jeans, I decided I needed a bootcut because I was planning on wearing a tall wedge, knit shell with cardigan and maybe a scarf. Plus, I already owned a straight leg crop in white.
I used to be a random shopper. I would pick up a top here and there because it was on sale or simply because I was at Target and that’s what you do when you go to Target! That’s a BAD habit! If you do that, STOP. Learn from my mistakes, okay? Plan ahead and it will be much easier to get dressed each day!
White jeans are easy to pull off, they are uber-chic! But you need to be prepared. Otherwise, you’ll forget nude underwear and then your husband will be running around your local retail establishment talking to the 82-year-old sales lady about nude thongs. Also, not good.
So what denim brands do I recommend for white jeans?
Lands’ End Canvas is a great resource for a classic pair of straight leg or bootcut white jeans. Added bonus: budget-friendly price tag.
I do not own a pair of the Tory Burch jeans, but I’ve had my eye on these for well over a year. I’m a sucker for a good brand!

I’ve been craving a pair of the True Religions… my white Joe’s Jeans (Provocateur fit) are starting to get frayed from being worn SO much last summer. Great post!

I love white jeans! I know they get a bad rap sometimes, but everytime I wear mine….someone asks if I lost weight. Strangely, white jeans are more slimming on me than black or midnight color ones. Great post. I’ll have to check out the Lands’ End ones.
I love the Tory Burch ones! I may have to checkout the LE ones. I use to be a big fan of True Religion, and have several pairs of their jeans but let me say they stretch way too much. They are the kind of jeans you eventually have to wash, and dry before wearing because they stretch out so bad..just sayin!:)
I think you convinced me to move toward the light and buy a pair of white jeans. My only question is with the LEC pair: How do they fit? Do they fit like J. Crew pants? Thanks!

I LOVE white jeans! I have a pair of bootcut jeans from the gap that I wear ALL summer!
I like the True Religion’s also but they always seem to be a little too low rise for my liking.

I just wanted you to know that after you post a couple of weeks ago about the LEC white jeans, i bought a pair and am in LOVE!! I got the bootcut ones, and they’re amazing. So perfect of the Midwest when it still gets kinda chilly this time of year, but you want to look springy!

I wish I could wear white jeans! I love the ones you’ve posted, but for one thing, they are not very slimming on me, and my hind end doesn’t NEED to look any bigger!! but I’ll check out LEC for some other jeans and such, I’ve never shopped there before!

I am loving those jeans from True Religion. I am a fan of the pockets with buttons. I am a firm believer in paying a little extra for good jeans…hence my forcing JH to buy a decent pair before he met you, the love of his life!
