Hey Oprah, I Thought You Retired?

by Nina on November 21, 2011

I’m reporting today with a bit of attitude because Oprah released her list of favorite things for 2011 and one of the items I posted about back in 2009!

Nudo – Adopt an Olive Tree is one of my favorite gifts to give! I know I don’t own this gift idea but Oprah annoys me to no end and when she get credit for being extraordinarily original it makes my blood boil.

Either way, this makes a wonderful gift for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list, especially if they love to cook!

Looking for other gift ideas for this season?

Erin and I were introduced to Little Passports a couple of months ago and I fell in love with the product. I immediately added it to my list of gifts to give this holiday season. From the Little Passports site… “Little Passports is your child’s ticket to an exciting global adventure. Inspire a love and understanding of the world as your child learns about a country’s geography, history, culture, and language in a fun and memorable way. Your child will love receiving their own mail every month…

Every month, our characters Sofia and Sam travel to a different country and send your child an exciting package including:

  • A letter from Sam and Sofia describing their in-country adventures
  • Fun and unique souvenirs and gifts that bring each country to life
  • A secret code to access our online Boarding Zone full of games & activities”

Use code WORLD10 to save 10% on Little Passports, the perfect holiday gift for kids!

FREE SHIPPING at The Land of Nod on stocking stuffers, holiday decor, soft seating, plus, select toys and gifts, games and soft seating!

I love the idea of the Nudo adopt an olive tree, especially for my sister who has a true passion for olive oil. Do you know if that price is just for a one year supply of olive oil? I went to the website but wasn’t sure exactly how it worked. Thanks!! xo, LP

I remember when you posted about the Nudo! I saw your post about it and got it for my boyfriend at the time. He loved it! That’s crazy that she’s just now finding out about it?? You’re way ahead of the curve!

You should be happy for the company because now they get more exposure, instead of hating on Oprah.

And who said she retired? Yes she retired from her SHOW but now she owns a network & still has the magazine.

I will forever give you credit for my discovery of the Nudo Olive trees in 2009! It’s one of my favorite gifts of all time :) xoxo
