Frost, Kiks, Mandy, Jeff and Yours truly went out last night for a nice dinner, good drinks & great company! We were all in agreement that we had been in the house TOO long. So, to Tom’s Place we went. It was terrific as usual.
Mandy even busted out a story from our childhood that I did not remember… She says (so casually), “Oh like in 8th {correction: 7th} grade when I gave you a haircut?” My quick response was, “You did!” We laughed so hard we were practically crying. My mom did not remember either but Mandy reassured her that she was NOT happy about it. I, on the other hand, said, “Well, you must have done a good job or I would remember!” I continue with, “Believe me, I’ve hated Brad Bramlett since the day he stuck gum in my hair on the school bus and it had to be cut out of my hair resulting in a VERY short haircut.” We laughed. And, then laughed even more because the our waiter (I’ve know forever) over hears the story and (best part) he is friends with the Brad guy now.
Laughing is like detox for the soul!!!

I Googled “Tom’s Place” this morning in hopes to get a picture of the restaurant and I found something even better a short video on the history of the restaurant… it’s worth watching!

too funny, I know Brad too. Did you go to school in Carterville? If so, then we totally know some of the same people.
