When I woke up this morning and headed to work, I couldn’t believe it was already Thursday! I have a HUGE weekend ahead of me and still have a lot of work to finish before end of business tomorrow. To prepare for the whirlwind, I decided to cook dinner and finally share Kiks’ Halloween decorations with you!!
JH’s mom made this salad last Sunday for lunch and it was SO DELISH that I’ve been wanting to make it all week.
Romaine lettuce, gorgonzola cheese, chow mein noodles and Catalina dressing. Fat Free is better but they were out today so I went with Light.
Mix all the items with the lettuce. Toss the dressing in right before serving.
I also switched up the chicken program tonight. I baked the chicken in Italian dressing for 16 minutes and then pan seared it before serving. YUMM!
I sauteed the asparagus in olive oil and a little garlic. I’m not the best cook, but by luck I cooked the asparagus to the perfect amount of crispiness!!
Here’s where it gets good! Kiks outdid herself again this year. The mummy is a signature for Halloween at Seven Gables. Mummy now wears Kiks’ chic witch’s hat.
Next, I give you the front door. The most welcoming front door you’ll ever walk up to!

One of my favorite pieces in the house – the zebra chair! I think every house should have a little zebra in it. Laura Bush even added zebra to the White House! This picture does not do this adorable spider one bit of justice. I just love him… or her.
