The chevron print is not a new find. It’s been around for oh probably forever but every time I come across a new picture or idea using this bold pattern I swoon. The most adored use of the chevron print is when it’s incorporated in a traditional setting as a statement piece (see below left picture).

I’m extremely in-to the white & black mixed cabinets. I also love the oversized outdoor light along with the rustic looking table in the kitchen that doubles as a workspace island. And of course the chevron floor too!

I couldn’t pass up including this bedroom picture first spotted in the beloved & very missed Domino magazine. What an eclectic room!

*the above kitchen has absolutely nothing to do with the lovely pattern of chevron. But it is far too incredibly awesome not to share with all of you.
I found another new blog that I’m enjoying greatly. You might say The Fabulous Design File is the inspiration behind this post today because she posted a DIY project on her blog where she hand painted a chevron print rug. Check out her post. It’s fantastic! I sent the link to Kiks and asked her if she was up for making this our first 2011 project. I have not received a response yet. ha! I’ll keep you posted.
Happy Tuesday!!!

I have been loving chevron lately too. I’ve been using it in a lot of my blog designs. I can’t get enough of it and the quatrefoil pattern.
I adore chevron and these looks do not disappoint. Have a great weekend.
I love the black and white chevron. Should hire you as my interior designer when we get our new place.
I love chevron too! It goes with so much..and fits in so many places..
So glad you decided to include the white kitchen! Makes me drool.
Beautiful.
Nina, these pictures are GORGEOUS! I can’t say I’ve ever really liked the Chevron print, but seeing it done as well as in these pictures, it’s just fabulous!
Love chevron patterns! And that rug DIY project looks like a good candidate for you in the new year!
Every time I see a chevron, I think about my military service. Chevrons and rockers!
Great photos, love the color combo in the first image.
I love these ideas! I bet your house is so cute… One day when I upgrade, I know who to take shopping with me
