We had a beautiful Mother’s Day celebrating our moms, as well as moms-to-be, grandmas, nanas, aunties and even the mom that lived next door that always invited you over when she made BLT’s because she knew you loved them so much!
We started the day with Mass, followed up with a delicious brunch with my parents, grandparents, brother and JH. Global Gourmet put on a gorgeous and delightfully yummy brunch buffet.
With full bellies, we headed home to sip champagne and give mama all of her gifts.
Kiks got a new pair of Bernardo sandals from JH and me. By the looks of these pictures she loves them!!
After gift opening, JH received a lesson from the chef-in-making on how to make the perfect hollandaise.
Dad always sends the most beautiful flowers.
I was a little camera happy today and couldn’t stop myself from snapping a picture of my handsome groom-to-be!! He’s such a good sport. I love him so.
Serious chopping and dicing continued throughout the day. It’s so wonderful to watch my mom go through the journey of becoming a chef. I’m so proud of her and this new adventure she is mastering like pro! She’s a rockstar! I know I’m biased but I’m confident all of you would agree.
This is the Mother’s Day card I gave my mother this year and the word couldn’t be more true…
Mom, the older I get, the more I realize how much you’ve done for me all of my life. I thought all mothers loved and cared for their daughters the way you always did for me, but the more I see of this world, the more I know that our relationship is exceptional. I’m so lucky to have a mother who taught me how to love myself as well as others, to trust my own instincts, and to be true to myself.
You’ve always been a special person, Mom, always caring for the people and the world around you. Thank you for raising me the way you did… I really love you. – Glenda Allen.

Happy Mother’s Day.
With all of my love… to the moon and back!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the sweet mothers that read this little adventure of mine. I can’t wait to join the mother’s club with all of you, because I think it’s by far the coolest club around!

Is your mom in culinary school? I’m starting in the fall and cannot wait! I’m somewhat of a newer reader I guess and I didn’t know you had a chef in the family. How neat!
