Camera Recommendations

by Nina on May 6, 2009

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve had numerous people ask me what camera I use and/or what camera I recommend. Well, I use two different cameras. Currently, I use a Canon PowerShot SD750 as my Point & Shoot (aka my Carry in my purse and whip out in the Target dressing room camera). BUT I’m dying to upgrade to this Point & Shoot by Panasonic. My friend has this camera and it is second to none in my opinion! It has a HUGE LCD screen and takes beautiful pictures.

The Big Dog. My digital SLR is a Canon Rebel XS and I’m obsessed with it… as long as the battery stays charged (only complaint).

Beautiful pictures of your life are priceless… invest in the best! Millions and millions of thanks to those that support this site by purchasing items through my aStore and Amazon links. I can’t thank you enough!!

p.s. Construction is moving slowly but I promise it will be worth the wait. Anything you would like to see in the new look??

Those cameras must take professional quality pictures right? I just payed $30 for 2 pictures of my boy and me at the Celtics game because those stupid people that come around and take pictures somehow make you look like you are Gisele and Tom!

Ooh, thanks for posting this. I’ve been searching for a good point & shoot, and that Canon keeps popping up. If I do end up buying, I will try to go through your A-Store; neat feature.

My battery never dies on my Canon – do you have it set to automatically shut off after 20 seconds? I find myself leaving it on all of the time, but that little feature really helps my battery life.

I second Southern’s comment. My battery never dies. I have the rebel xsi. I too find that I never shut my camera off. I will leave it on for a week and not realize it and still have life left on the battery.

I was going to say the same thing about my Rebel battery but a few others beat me to the punch! I got mine (a refurbished eBay score!) a few weeks ago, I don’t know how I ever lived without it :) As a newbie, I love hearing about others who love their Rebels!

I have the Nikon D60 and D300, D60\D40 is equivalent to the Rebel. And I NEVER charge my battery. Although, I have a battery grip.

So why didn’t you recommend an Olympus camera?? You do know that’s the company I work for now right?? HAHA! Not quite my field, but still had to give my company a shout out! : )
