About Nina

Welcome to According to Nina!

The “about me” has always been the hardest thing for me to write. So, me in a nutshell: I’m a bride-to-be that was born a planner not a bride. I drink regular coke preferably out of a styrofoam cup, pasta over rice, I love red meat, I wear a size 5 shoe, I’m one of the most loyal people you’ll ever meet, I’m uber-picky about apparel material and I firmly believe that you can pull off any outfit (even a gunny sack) as long as you have a great watch, great shoes and a great handbag… and confidence!

I started writing this blog over four years ago (if not 5 or 6, I’ve lost track) and I’m typing this at 12:15 a.m. and I’m too tired to save this as a draft, go back into my archives and figure it out. This site started out as a simple location for friends and family to read about my daily life in Chicago. Now it has evolved into something much much more. I talk about everything from the newest product in my bathroom to floral arrangements for our upcoming wedding in July. I look forward to watching this blog transition with me into my new life as wife and hopefully one day into a family full of babies, love, laughter and lots of mostaccioli!

I enjoy coming here each day to write to you or post a new find. Sharing my thoughts and ideas with you is always such a delight. I’m blessed to have met so many people through this experience and can’t thank all of you enough for actually reading what I have to say!
