10 Thoughts for a Rainy Monday.
1. It’s been rainy ALL DAY. Nonstop. It’s so gloomy. I’ve been in the house all day.
2. I woke up this morning at 6 a.m. to see my hard-working husband off with a warm cup of oatmeal that I successfully served to him without breaking or burning anything. Hallelujah!
3. Although when I got out of bed, I threw on the long-sleeve t-shirt I wore last night to my parents’ house for dinner over my sleep tank because it was very chilly. It was still dark and apparently my eyes weren’t open yet because later in the morning I realized my shirt was on inside out. Nice. I noticed while talking to JH on the phone. I laughed as I said, “oh my gosh, my shirt is inside out.” He says, “yeah, I noticed that.” I said, “why on Earth didn’t you say something?” His response was something on lines of not wanting to hurt my feelings. How sweet!
4. The bad news about that story. I’m still wearing that shirt inside out and it’s 5:30 p.m.
5. The good news? I’m about to take a shower and put on something much cuter so I look presentable when my hard-working husband arrives home to find me sitting on the couch watching The Bachelor: The Final Rose.
In more news…
7. I’m looking forward to reading The Pioneer Woman’s Black Heels to Tractor Wheels with Book Beginnings and Bookends Book Club! I started last month’s book Ape House and just could not get into the story. Before I knew it, everyone was finished with the book and I was still on Chapter 3. I’ll finish it one day. If you’re interested in reading, click the link above. It’s a fantastic group!
8. I cleaned out my piles and piles of magazines over the weekend. I have a short stack of magazine tear-outs that are awaiting to be placed in their appropriate binders. Maybe tomorrow. I’ve been using Russell+Hazel binders but I’m thinking about covering standard binders with fabric for a less expensive option and easier to match future binders. I have a post started all about my magazine clipping process. Hopefully I’ll finish it some time this week.
9. I also started a mini filing system just for myself. My checkbooks, gift cards, random mail I need to keep, loose recipes, receipts, bank statements etc. I feel SO much more organized having all of my “mail” categorized in one place rather than spread out all over the house. Small change, giant difference!
10. The best part of this rainy day? Baby H is all of sudden extremely active! I’ve been feeling the flutters for awhile but it has turned into full fledged movement! JH was even able to feel it last night! It’s truly a miracle in the making. I still wake up every day and have to remind myself that it’s all real. I just can’t believe how lucky I am.
I hope this post finds you doing well and enjoying this Monday afternoon! I hope the sun is shining on you!

yay for movement
I love it!
I try to file things well, but I feel like I get overwhelmed and fall behind. I need to get rid of more, I’m certain.
I’ve been trying to get a magazine/recipe post clip post together for like 6 months. Still no progress, haha. I’ve bought a few of the greenroom eco binders at Target. Super cute. I really like the idea of covering, though!
xo
I was JUST organizing my clippings binders last night. Makes me happy looking over all the recipes I want to try, etc.
Feeling those firt flutter is so magical! I’m also a soon-to-be Mom, it’s a fun time. Best of luck to you during your pregnancy.
I think you sent your rainy day to OH…misery. I wish I could just go back home and snuggle on the couch with a certain KP and take a nap!
Black Heels to Tractor Wheels is such a good book, I finished it in one weekend (a vacation weekend). Love all the happenings with you lately!
I try to stay on top on my magazines too…I have so many that they pile up really easily…but I can never seem to keep up!
I look forward to reading about your magazine clipping process. I have a big pile too and really need to deal with it…
