a lot of little bits…

by Nina on November 6, 2008

My good friend, Blue-Eyed Bride, asked “What is your ‘Walk into the Room’ song?” She’s dying to know and I’m dying to tell… this is where you come in… I don’t know what ‘my song’ is or would be? Please help!

Another blogging-friend posted this picture today and as most of you know, I love Reese Witherspoon. It’s not odd for someone to tell me “You are a dark-haired Reese.” My friends at Careerbuilder even nicknamed me “Reese”. I blush. I do have a point here… Actually it’s a question? I think the title of this post should have been “questions for my readers” hah!

I want a pair White Jeans and have wanted a pair for a long time but cannot find a pair that I like. Do you have a pair of White Jeans that you l-o-v-e? What brand do you recommend? Remember I’m 5’1 (I mean 5’2) and my backside is not flat by any means.

p.s. Please notice that Reese is carrying a Pink-Covered Blackberry!!!! ;-)

Miss Monogram introduced me to Anne Harwell this morning and I’m so grateful. You can shop her items on Zazzle (the mug) or on Etsy (the print). All of her items are maaahvalous! {word credit: daily candy… when I read it this morning… “I must use this word today.”}

I do not have many “bad” days (actually I can’t remember the last time I had one) but yesterday was terrible. And, not all because of the election outcome. I’m very much under-the-weather today because of it and hoping that I come out of it very soon. My deepest gratitude to all of you for giving me a place to come and get away. This is my “happy” place and I’ll be forever in debt to you for always listening! One of my favorite sayings is “Do as I say, not as I do”… and since I KNOW BEST… I want you to have a maaahvalous day!! xoxo

Hope you can get out of your funk soon! I know the feeling though…

Yesterday I was a crab and it WAS because of the election! lol.

I said She’s Fresh or These Boots Were Made for Walking. ;)

Love Reese’s style, too. I have a pair of white jeans, but they also have a drawstring and no belt loops, so I now hate them after losing weight. We’re in the same boat for height, so I will definitely let you know when I find another pair next spring!

I have a pair of white jeans…from dVb which is obviously the Victoria Beckham collection. I found them online on super sale.

They may be the best pair of pants I own.

I love Reese also…and I only wish that I looked like her!
I love your new word – I love getting “word of the days,” and I always try to work them in. So fun!
Love your blog by the way:)

I think Fergie’s “Glamorous” is a great walk in the room song!

Sorry you had a bad day – sometimes it takes those days to make us thankful and appreciative of the good days!

I personally love Gap white jeans, but I’m a little taller, but I love their fit. I think Hudson jeans are pretty popular in Hollywood too.

I bought a pay of white jeans at Cache a few years ago – I (sadly) gained weight so they don’t fit anymore – but they were an incredible pair of jeans! In fact I still have them in my closet…. if this weight loss thing pans out you might someday get to see a pic of me wearing them!

I love Reese, also! I’d like to find a good pair of white jeans. I would say to go for your regular brand of jeans that fits you well and see if they come in white when Jan/Feb rolls around. Saks usually has a table of white jeans in all brands in late Winter/early Spring.

I love your idea of naming blog giveaways something else so googlers can’t find it! I am going to do that! I need to find a good name. Bloggift?? Fabulous Friends Freebie?? ;-)

I love Reese’s outfit in that pic. Comfy casual but very cool.

I hope you’re doing better today, friend! I am sorry that yesterday was sucky.
I too, love Reese and love her pink covered blackberry.

As for the white jeans, I dare not put them on this fanny! :)

Hmmm, a song for you? I agree with southern accent, I can just hear Fergie: “G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-Sssssss”

Have a great day, friend!

I can’t wait till you find your perfect white jeans. I’m 5 1/2 inches so I bet they will be great for me too.

Wanted to let you know that I nominated you for an Uber award on my site today (www.globetrottingbride.com). And, you’re on my “fabulous” blog list too. Enjoy.

L-O-V-E Reese and her style. She is SO chic and cute! And…she always looks so put together. I wonder if she has a personal shopper? Probably a dumb question.

I got some white jeans this summer at Gap. They might have some there and they have the different fits that would be good for your petite figure!

Good day!!

I too love the white jeans — and now that I think about it I am going to pull them out of my summer bin – no need to store them away all winter!

I like my Lucky bran and I also like my J.Crew but the J.Crew ones are cropped.

I have been searching for a pair of white jeans. Last week or so I saw some on the Nordstroms website. 7′s and Citizens.

I agree with the other ladies…GLAMOROUS! You are oh so glamorous!

White jeans….I have a fantabulous pair from Citizens of Humanity. I think on a model size person they are supposed to be capris, but since I’m also 5’1 they are perfect on me with flats or flops or heels. I highly recommend them!

As for the song…I must say what popped into my head was “Sugar, Sugar” by the Archies (I know, it’s an oldie…) but don’t we all want to be somebody special’s candy girl? It’s up beat, happy and makes you walk with a spring in your step! The perfect way to enter a room!

I love the mug and Reese too, she’s a cutie! I’ve been wanting to get a pair of white jeans too but haven’t looked again recently, let us know when you find a good pair! And feel better!!

I love Reese! She seems so normal compared to all the other hollywood starlets out there. :) And about your white jeans problem, click on that and see what In Style has to say. :)

P.S. my walking into the room song, according to my daughter and my husband is “SexyBack” by Justin Timberlake. LOL! That or “Hey, Mama” by the Black-eyed Peas. HAHA! I am loved…what can I say? :)

I said my song was “Just Fine” by Mary J Blige…very upbeat and great message. When I thought about yours I immediately heard the “Sex and the City” theme. I see you as stylish as that.

my “i wish i could walk into the room to that song” song is “brick house!” yeah, right!!! :)

think of the song that makes you happiest. and then think “what song can i strut to?”

“superstitious” by stevie wonder is pretty great.

i have some white jeans that i bought at the limited a couple of years ago. they don’t have any back pockets and they’re kind of trouser jeans. i’ve seen some adorable sevens in white.

happy shopping, my friend.

Hurray for cute little Reese! She represents TN so well.

As for the white jeans, my bff bought a pair of Seven (for all man kind) white jeans that she LOVES. She’s a bit taller than us at 5’4″ but these jeans look great!

Hoping that tomorrow is a better day!

And actually, I think you are a prolific writer! No grammar problems that I have seen :-) It’s the curse of teaching English for 33 years ;-) that never allows me to just read and enjoy. Getting better though. That’s why it takes me forever to send a text message. I have to punctuate, capitalize, etc. haha
