30th Birthday Recap

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I can’t believe it’s been so long. I’m hoping today is the day I turn things around here. I miss posting daily and having interaction with my readers. So let’s recap the last couple of weeks…

I had a wonderful 30th birthday! The Saturday before my birthday I stopped by my parents and to my surprise Ann & Jenna were there! I was SO surprised. I had no idea. They came in on the train from Chicago. Such a wonderful gift! We hung out, had pizza and enjoyed each others company. They pulled another one over me… When we returned to my parents that evening tons of our friends (including Tamie who traveled from Chicago too) were there for a party to celebrate me heading over the hill!

My mother outdid herself as usual. She baked and decorated this fabulous cake!

A few of the many gifts…

JH gave me the most beautiful pair of David Yurman earrings the week before so I could wear them through all of my birthday celebrations. And I know at least one person reads my wish lists because Mandy gave me the gorgeous Kendra Scott turquoise earrings. I love both pairs! I cannot wait to find the perfect outfit for the Kendra Scotts!

The girls brought me my 30 Club David Yurman cuff too from all of my college girlfriends. Every time I look down at my wrist I think of them. It’s such a sweet, special tradition that I’m so happy we decided to start many years ago!

On my actual birthday – the 14th – my parents so generously gifted me my very first orange Hermes box! I was almost as excited about the box as the gift inside.

But as you have probably already guessed….. an H bracelet was inside!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s even more perfect than I had imagined! *Sorry for the iPhone photos.

Not many of the pictures turned out due to bad lighting downstairs & the memory stick in my Nikon was full. Plus I thought we were having dinner and watching movies in the media room… I was a fashion fail that night with my white shirt under my black poncho and my Uggs. Super cute. At least I’m willing to admit it, right?

Many many thanks for all the messages and tweets with birthday wishes and to all of my friends & family for making my 30th one for the record books! I loved having all of my nearest and dearest close to me. My girlfriends and I stayed up until almost 2AM chatting and reminiscing after the party.

My heart is overflowing with love and thanks!
