My Ingredients of Choice:
Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit
Organic Ground Beef
1 Can of Natural Organic Chili Beans
Fresh Creole Mix of Chopped Vegetables (onion, celery, red and green bell peppers, garlic)
All-Natural Tomato Sauce
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1. Sauté chopped onion, celery, peppers, and garlic
2. Brown ground beef
3. Add Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit
4. Add tomato sauce
5. I bring my chili to slow boil and then turn down and simmer as long as I can.
6. Stir occasionally and season to taste
7. Serve with your favorite chili toppings
I'm more of a cornbread-with-my-chili kind of girl, but I was limited on time the day I made this batch.
Side note, this Le Creuset french oven is one of my most favorite kitchen items ever made. I use this beautiful piece of cookware almost every single day. I have the 5 1/2 quart round in red and I think of the kind people that gifted it to us for our wedding each and every time. I hope one day I can tell my grandchildren, "I've been cooking in this very french oven for over 25 years."
