Chili Recipe Made with Carroll Shelby's All Natural Chili Kit
I've been making chili without a recipe for years. It's never once tasted the same. It's actually quite frustrating. A few weeks ago I was feeling less than creativity and I needed a quick pot of chili so I went to the grocery store for a chili starter kit and necessary ingredients. To my surprise, I found this all-natural chili kit with a list of suggested ingredients. Win! I kind of cringe at the thought of using those store brand flavor packets so I was excited to find this product. Plus, the chili ended up being delicious! Win-Win!

Chili Recipe Ingredients

My Ingredients of Choice:

Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit
Organic Ground Beef
1 Can of Natural Organic Chili Beans
Fresh Creole Mix of Chopped Vegetables (onion, celery, red and green bell peppers, garlic)
Sea Salt
All-Natural Tomato Sauce
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Chili Recipe with Chili Kit

Directions:

1. Sauté chopped onion, celery, peppers, and garlic
2. Brown ground beef
3. Add Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit
4. Add tomato sauce
5. I bring my chili to slow boil and then turn down and simmer as long as I can.
6. Stir occasionally and season to taste
7. Serve with your favorite chili toppings

I'm more of a cornbread-with-my-chili kind of girl, but I was limited on time the day I made this batch.

Chili Cooking on the Stove

Side note, this Le Creuset french oven is one of my most favorite kitchen items ever made. I use this beautiful piece of cookware almost every single day. I have the 5 1/2 quart round in red and I think of the kind people that gifted it to us for our wedding each and every time. I hope one day I can tell my grandchildren, "I've been cooking in this very french oven for over 25 years."

This looks SO GOOD….. in fact, I might just have to make a special trip to the grocery store here shortly to round up the ingredients so we can have it for dinner!! {and it’s 87 degrees here, so my husband is going to think I’m crazy}!

That chili looks delicious! I love how wedding gifts remind us of those who gave them. :)
