I wanted to post about my Mother’s Day gift from my husband every day last week and it just did not happen. I had two babies with colds and to be honest I’m still trying to figure out a routine for myself. Both of our kids are on successful schedules which means I’m on those schedules but I need to start my day at least an hour before they start theirs. And that is just not happening regularly yet, but today is the start of a new week so here’s to a fresh start! I knew Joe was up to something weeks before Mother’s Day, but I had absolutely no idea what he had planned. The other side of the post said, “Erin Carroll!” My husband bought one of my best friends a plane ticket to come see me!! He booked our accommodations and everything for a fun filled girls weekend!
It was one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever received. When gift giving, sometimes you have to look past the material things and give the gift of time… time to relax, time to love, or simply time to visit with a friend.
Many thanks to my very thoughtful husband!
