Zara: Bold Stripes, Stocking My Closet

One of the things I want to change in 2013 is how I purchase clothing and shoes.

For years, I’ve been buying “for an occasion” instead of stocking my closet with necessary staples. This always leads to me buying things I don’t really like and then when I do find something I LOVE, I don’t buy it because most likely I’ve just purchased something to “make do” for something else. It also leaves me feeling unprepared, always.

A lot of it has to do with the fact I’ve been about five different sizes in the last three years. But enough is enough!zara military dress top detail

So when I spotted this dress on Zara.com this morning, I knew it was time to change the cycle! It was time to add something to my closet that I don’t “need” right now, but know I will wear numerous times in the future.

    I am SO with you on this… the impulse purchases GET me every time. Then, no matter what I pay, they end up being a “one-time-wear” and hang in my closet wasting away… “because I already wore it for THIS or THAT.” I need to be better about basics, and I have a major love for black and white stripes! This dress is perfect. Great find!
