I didn’t plan for this to be a “beauty week” here on the blog, but that’s how it seems to be working out. We’ll just go with it.

The thing about Coconut Oil is it’s not just another beauty product, it’s actually marketed as a cooking oil. A healthy “better than butter” option to be exact. Don’t get any ideas, I’m not giving up on my beloved unsalted real butter, but my house is getting stocked with Coconut Oil from the nursery to the kitchen.

Here are three great posts from other bloggers on how-to use Coconut Oil:

My Most Favorite Secret… by Missy at How Does She? This post will knock your socks off. One product for make-up remover to fly-aways? Yes, please!

10 Ways To Add Coconut Oil To Your Beauty Routine by Katie W at Glitter Guide

My hands and cuticles have never looked better after a weekend of applying Coconut Oil to them after washes. With this nasty sickness I’ve had along with the Winter weather, everything is dry dry dry. I also loved using it as a finishing product on my hair. It left my hair smooth and shiny. I recommend getting two or more containers so you can have one in your kitchen and one in your bathroom.

Do you use Coconut Oil at your house? What are your favorite ways to use it?

I use it for lip balm and diaper cream! It clears up diaper rash so well!

So glad coconut oil is getting so much more street cred! I was gifted a jar at my Colorado baby shower last year, which I thought was so weird and Boulder hippie at the time…. Fast forward to today, where I seem to be slowly replacing everything with it! It’s the only lotion I use for myself and the baby now. We do most of our veggie sauteing with it (SO good with high temp stir frys), and the Mr. uses it in our Saturday morning whole grain pancake mix. I just started deep conditioning with it thanks to one of your pins, and am so happy with it! I’ll be packing my whole Nutiva jar for our trip to Costa Rica next month, won’t be able to live without it for that long!

LOVE COCONUT OIL! I use it in some cooking, but could never fully replace with good olive oil. It’s been great o slather on my growing belly as my skin stretches and gets dried out and I have also used it on my hair. My best friend uses it for her baby’s diaper rash and swears by it!

I am obsessed with coconut oil for my hair! I’ll use a little for flyaways, or I’ll slather it on, wait an hour, then wash it out. Best deep conditioner out there!

I have never used it, but I’m going to see if I can get some when we got to target today. Thanks!

I’m obsessed with coconut oil. I put it through the ends of my hair once a week. I pop popcorn with it (amazing). I bake with it.
