The January 2013 issue of Real Simple has been sitting on my night stand for a couple of weeks now. To be honest, I’ve been using it as a coaster. But this morning when I grabbed my water tumbler off the magazine, the image on the front caught my attention. Hit me like a ton of bricks!
Pretty powerful, wouldn’t you say?
I’ve never been one for the common New Year’s resolutions that involve not eating good food and going to the gym three times a day. It seems like every year I vow to send more snail mail, de-clutter my life, be more organized, and the list goes on. The daily stuff. But as I thought about the three specific ideas above, I’ve never vowed to a lifestyle change. Big, giant commitments that will change not only me, but my life and my family too. All for the good.
2013 is my year to accomplish great things, eliminate unnecessary stresses, and put my time and energy first into my family and then into projects I’m most passionate about and those in most need.
What are you looking forward to for 2013?
