The excitement and surprise of your child is the very best gift in the world!
This was around 1 A.M. this morning after managing Santa’s deliveries. He was running a little behind so we had to put everything under the tree and set up all the toys for him. Well I didn’t do anything but supervise but I had to sneak in a quick picture with my mom in our matching pajamas from Kelly’s Kids.
The Imaginarium Train Table was Jack’s big gift from Santa, but Santa also brought him a Tonka Chuck, Duplo Lego set, Melissa & Doug puzzles, finger paints, crayons, books, Cars book with flash light, and Rody!Jack’s enthusiasm and excitement for the entire Christmas experience was priceless, including and most importantly about Baby Jesus. He will pick up Baby Jesus and then gently places him back perfectly between Mary and Joseph. It’s very sweet.
At first we were afraid Santa had wasted a lot of money because he only had interest in the train table, but he gradually discovered Rody and his other gifts and loved them all the same.Especially when his Auntie Cee helped him open his iPad Mini from his Frosty and Kiki. This was a set of Disney books from Miss Judy and Mr. Gary and he sat so quietly flipping through the pages of the books as if he knew he was reading every single word.
Jack’s cousin arrived and it was time for Rody racing!
We are so very blessed and privileged. We could not be more thankful for this holiday season full of time with family and friends, although we are sad not be traveling to Florida with my husband’s family for the coming week due to doctor’s orders for no activity or travel for me. I don’t have a lot of details to share at this time, but hopefully we will know more on Thursday. We have to pray the winter storm hitting the southern Midwest does not hit as bad as they are predicting so I can get to my appointment on Thursday.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season too.
