31 Days of Gift Giving: Day 17 Kiva Loans Change Lives

Kiva.org is a "non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world."

My great friend Liene sent me a Kiva gift code to wish me luck speaking at BlogHer. It was an unexpected surprise, such a thoughtful gift. I enjoyed logging into Kiva to read the stories of the people and the businesses they want to create or sustain. Liene said it quite nicely, "pass along the joy of success to others."
