The Gold and Silver Mixer

posted by ninahelleny in GIFT GIVING, SHOPPING
I've come to the conclusion that I'm a gold and silver mixer. I have so many pieces of white gold and silver jewelry that carry lots of meaning behind them and I can't bring myself to not wear them daily. On the other hand, I love yellow gold. I have numerous pieces of yellow gold jewelry that were my godmothers that too mean a lot to me. Plus I love all of my new yellow gold pieces.

I ordered Erin and I matching bracelet sets from Sweet Auburn Studios to remember our Atlanta trip. Leigh Ann's bracelets are so pretty and delicate. If you are looking for an expensive, yet very thoughtful gift for someone special, you need to check out Leigh Ann's Etsy shop. Her pieces are very sweet.

I first starting wearing my bracelets with a Michael Kors watch I bought back in July but I'm so attached to my Michele watch that I find myself just mixing the bracelets with my silver watch and other white gold pieces. I really love the look of both colors together.

Do you wear all yellow gold pieces together and all white gold/silver pieces together or do you wear them together as well? I love the mix! The two-tone silver and gold Michele is high on my wish list for that very reason.

I mix gold and silver all the time; black and brown, too. Like your blog–thanks!

I honestly am not a big mixer of gold and silver. I just cannot do it. Kind of like I cannot wear black and brown together. My grandmothers and Mom did/do not do it, so I guess I got it from them?

I love mixing silver and gold pieces together.  My DY pieces have both, so I feel like they help balance it out no matter what other pieces I am wearing.  Just like the white jeans only in the summer rule, I think the only gold or silver rule is outdated.
