BlogHer ’12 Day One

While waiting at baggage claim in Newark, I met Danielle Smith of Extraordinary Mommy. We quickly exchanged information and were both excited about sharing a car to our hotel. She is full of inspiring energy and I'm looking forward to getting to know her better.One of my favorite booths in the Expo Hall is Best Buy with their home and health products. I've been intrigued by the iBaby monitor since before the official launch. But I was always concerned about if others could connect to your wi-fi could they see your baby. The answer is NO!

You have to have the serial number from the camera in your iPhone app in order to view the video stream. This makes me even more excited about this product. My favorite swag of the night was a signed copy of Lysa TerKeurst's newest book Unglued. It's a gift for a special friend, but Lysa was so kind to sign one for me too. I also had a great conversation with the guys at Canon about the new G1x camera. I love my DSLR but I might be dreaming of owning a G1x too.
