Your Baby In A Hospital Gown Rips Your Heart Out

The hospital staff yesterday was incredible. Jack was the first surgery of the day since he could not have anything to eat or drink. Once he was dressed in his little gown, they had Joe pull him around the floor in this little wagon until the OR team was ready. He loved it!Everything went well and he is recovering quite quickly. He slept most of the day yesterday, but around 4:30 he jumped up and started playing with his toys. He even was holding his leg out showing off his hospital band. He was so proud of it!We're staying home today to ensure he doesn't overdo it. He was such a brave little boy. He loved the nurses and all of their bright colored shoes and medical accessories! The hardest part of the day was watching him come out of the anesthesia completely. Poor little guy didn't know what was going on.

But again, he is doing great and before long we won't even be able to see a scar. Thank you very much for all of your thoughtful messages and prayers!

    It seems early to have plastic done, but I guess it’s good to start now before kids make fun of him. Those bullies are so awful.

    Aww bless his little heart. I didn’t know he’d had surgery, but I’m so glad he’s doing well. I bet the nurses & staff loved having this adorable little guy as a patient!
