When My Husband Has A Business Dinner

When my husband has a business dinner, my night looks something like this. If I eat dinner at all, it's something fast, leftover, or delivered. I work at the computer while listening to a movie from my DVR. Most likely, a movie I've watched no less than 82 times.

Today, I ran to my parents house to drop off some stuff for Jack's birthday. When I arrived I could smell my mom's yummy Italian beef cooking in the crockpot! I love love love Italian beef. We keep it pretty simple with only pepperoncinis and plain potato chips. My mom is so sweet, she packed me this incredible to-go dinner. Homemade cupcakes included!

Once Jack was in bed, I enjoyed my Italian beef sandwich with Jane and Jake Adler (and Harley too, my favorite) of It's Complicated, checked a few things on the computer, and now I'm ready to curl up with The Island.

I miss my husband when he's not here, but I do like eating my dinner on a paper plate in my pajamas on my couch every so often!

I guess this is kind of like my "secret single behavior" -  SSB is an action or habit that one indulges in only when alone. What's your secret single behavior?

    Now, that my SSB evenings are not just me anymore I usually end up just watching TV in bed and going to sleep early to be honest. How boring is that? Sometimes my mom comes to stay over when my husband travels and it’s always nice to have the help with the baby.

    I love it when my hubby has a meeting every once in a while. I usually get take out if I eat dinner, or eat chips & salsa, or whatever random thing. I read books or catch up on blogs. Or watch my TV shows in the Living Room. It is sure nice, but I do miss him!

    My SSB is turning off the TV, putting on an ugly old tee shirt from college and reading. And I don’t go to bed until I finish the book. And I always order takeout and have it delivered– preferably Chinese.

    Pizza with the toppings I like, (not what the kids and my husband like) eaten in the livingroom watching TV. By the way Kelly wouldn’t approve of those cupcakes. Haha

    Italian beef isn’t something I’m familiar with I guess. Am intrigued by a crockpot recipe that has potato chips in it. Hope Kiks will share on the blog!

      Elizabeth, I’ll have her post her recipe for Italian beef soon but the potato chips are not part of the recipe! They’re on the side! :)
