Dr. Smith’s What to Expect Giveaway

Did you know there is a movie coming out on May 18th based on the #1 bestselling pregnancy book, What to Expect When You're Expecting? The creators say it's "a look at love through the eyes of five interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and ultimately coming to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn't always deliver what's expected."  It looks like it could be pretty funny!

I used What to Expect When You're Expecting as a reference book. I did not read it front to back, but I did open it up when I found myself with a question. The "What You Can Expect at This Month's Checkup" sections were always helpful to me. It was my way of being prepared for my appointments. I also liked using it to follow the development of the baby from month to month. I used the iPhone app as well but sometimes I wanted to read it in black and white!

Things that caught me by surprise while expecting: 



1. HEARTBURN.

2. People's idea of providing helpful information.

3. The Breastfeeding drama.

4. My own instinct.

5. Swelling AFTER having the baby.

*When reading or referencing the book What to Expect When You're Expecting, be sure you are using an updated edition. They do change with the times!

    I would love to try Dr. Smiths! My son gets diaper rash and I’ve tried so many things and nothing seems to work. :( we end up just using plain old baby powder.

    I liked them on Facebook! I referenced the “What to Expect” books throughout my pregnancy and my daughter’s toddler years. I then of course passed my books on to a friend. Now as a teacher of High School students, I occasionally have an expectant mother in my classroom, as I currently do, and would love to have another set to use in my classroom. Nina, Iabsolutely love reading your blogs and often pass on the helpful information to friends and students. Keep up the great work!!

    OHMYGOODNESS… Just found your blog and love it! And I would love to try Dr. Smith’s for my little one’s bum-we just switched back to cloth(was doing the old fashioned thing for awhile and now have bumgenius ones) and he sure needs it! I love all the tips Dr. Smith gives on their facebook page too.
