DAILY DIARY

For over a year now (maybe longer), I've been highly disappointed in our Target. Target in general, really. I do make my way there but it's mainly because they have the best price on formula and they send me coupons for it too. They also carry Ella's Kitchen, Dr. Brown's, and Tommee Tippee which are all brands we favorite at our house.

But my last two visits to our local store, I've had more luck than usual. And enough that I feel it necessary to tell you about it because I think you might like what I found.

Last week I grabbed a new candle to hold me over until I order more of my favorite candle by Low Country Luxe. This Gingergrass & Lemon candle smells incredibly good! I found it at our local store for $9.99 and all housewares were buy one, get one half off so I purchased a second for $4.99!  I can't find it online or I would give you the link. Check your local stores. The jar is made out of really thick glass too which is a added plus in my book.

Today I had to make a formula/food run for Jack and I was on a mission to find a Lil' Gripper squeezable sippy cup by Playtex for Jack. We love the Tommee Tippee cups and he'll drink water, juice or pedialyte (when needed) out of them without a problem but as of now he won't drink formula out of them. Strangest thing. These cups by Playtex allow you, as the caregiver, to squeeze the cup helping the milk up the straw.

We tried it as soon as we got home and it worked like magic! Jack drank his afternoon bottle out of a straw sippy cup. Success!

While I was there, I decided to check out the bathing suit section. The terror! We are going to Vegas which means we'll be going to a pool so I had to bite the bullet and find a suit. I have to say thanks to Sara Blakely and her ASSETS line of swimwear at Target, it was actually a pleasant experience. The top shown in the picture is a tankini by Merona but the bottoms by ASSETS are truly the BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD! I'm not joking around. These swimsuit bottoms are a gift from God!

I am SO confused about what to wear to the pool this season. I am going to have to try out her line! And I need new candles too– I burn through them so fast it’s hard to justify $30 a pop! I’d need a $200/month candle budget I’m afraid. Maybe if I can make it to Target I’ll snag one of these!!
