Baby Shower Gift Log #1

After a few requests for a post on all the gifts we received at our shower, I decided it was a great idea! 1. If you are expecting, maybe it will give you some ideas of things you might like to register for. 2. If you need to buy a baby gift, these are all fantastic options. 3. Most importantly, it's a great way for me to document the extreme generosity of our family and friends!



1. Two Boppy pillows. I ordered one personalized cover from Potterybarn. I think I'll just buy a plain and simple one for the second pillow. One will stay at home and one will stay at our condo in St. Louis. I don't want to tote one back and forth.


I originally registered for the pillow by Balboa but most people rave about the Boppy. What are your thoughts?


2. Zutano longalls. I love Zutano clothes. They are soft, comfy and full of fun prints for daytime.


3. Tommee Tippee products. I've heard only wonderful reviews about this brand. The quality is quite impressive! We received cups for almost every stage from 6 months to 24 months and pacifiers from 0 - 6+.


4. Karen Katz books. I love Karen Katz.


5. Mustela products. I've tested most of the baby skincare products and Mustela is my favorite brand overall.


6. Bumkins bibs. I added these to my registry thanks to Mrs.MMMBlogger.


7. First 100 Words by Bright Baby.


8. Summer Infant Tiny Diner.


9. Avent teething ring.


10. Skip Hop Zoo Bibs.


11. JJ Cole Bib.


Our child is bound to be a foodie!


12. Wash clothes.


13. The most clever bath towels made by my sister-in-law Katie. They need a post of their own.

15. Gummy sticks gum massagers by ZoLi. I really want the ZoLi Buzz b nail trimmer because I'm already afraid of cutting Jack's nails. It's hard to find one of these in stock! Do you own one?

25. Sophie Giraffe by Vulli. This is our second Sophie but I'm sure you we'll put both to good use. Did you know... Sophie will be 50-years-old this year? Or that Sophie is the #1 bestseller on Amazon and has been on the bestseller list for over 850 days?


26. Inglesina Fast Table Chair.


27. Numerous beautiful blankets, hats and bibs handmade with love by Jack's Nana, great aunt and family friend. We are so lucky to have so many talented people around us!


Not pictured: Puj Tub, Bugaboo parasol, Dream On Me 2 in 1 folding portable crib/mattress/mattress cover for St. Louis, 4Moms mamaRoo chair and a few gift cards. With the gift cards, I ordered the Serta Royal sleeper crib mattress for Jack's crib. I can sleep better knowing it's on it's way, along with the infant car seat from Just Kids Store.

    Thank you so much for posting this! I am in the process of completing our registry and this was a huge help. One question I had was shower hostess gifts – what did you do for thank you gifts? I am struggling with items for my mom’s friends shower (3 ladies) and for my girlfriends (2 ladies)! Thanks!

    That is quite the loot! We love our Bumkins bibs. SO easy to clean! I will caution you with all of those sippy cups, just because we are going through this right now. Between bottles and sippy cups, I feel like we have bought every brand possible. For bottles, we started with Dr. Brown’s because of Connor’s reflux. We took to them no problem. Three weeks later? Turned his nose up at them. Next? Tommee Tippee. 1 Week and he was over it. We ended up with Born Free. Now our sippy cup adventure has us buying every brand right now. He took one just fine. He can drink from it. However, we are having issues with him being able to finish his drink before it comes back out of his mouth. It all depends on how the spouts are made and what works with him.

    Just wanted to caution that even though one brand looks great, it may not be necessarily what your child will do best with. If I could attach a picture of all the sippy cups I have bought, you would totally understand :)

      Thank you for the comment! You are so right about the different brands and what babies will accept & reject. As for the bottles, I have a few different starter kits on my list for that very reason but as for the cups we’ll see! Tommee Tippee was recommended based on the no-leak factor so I’m willing to try it out. I’m leaving everything in the packages just in case though. Thanks again!

    We bought some Jellycat toys for Marc’s twin cousins when they were born and their mum went mad saying how amazing the brand is and how much she loves them for her boys!
