Nursery fabrics 2

I'm getting more excited about the nursery with each new swatch of fabric and each coat of paint!

It's all coming together thanks to Karen Akin of The Golden Egg! After a few short phone conversations, I sent her the original set of fabrics that I posted about here. We discussed the pieces I liked, the ones I wasn't crazy about and other details we both wanted to add in.

Yesterday afternoon I found a FedEx package at my door with what I like to call the Nursery Blueprint! All the new fabrics Mrs. Akin put together and her plan for the bedding, curtains, blanket and personalized accent pillow. I am *obsessed* with the fabrics to the say the least. The room is going to be perfectly warm, cozy, fun and stimulating all at the same time for our little guy!

Here's a peek...

The crib is ordered and will hopefully beat Jack here! We fell in love with the Tiffany crib by Newport Cottages. You can purchase Newport Cottages furniture at Layla Grayce. I wanted a crib that could be handed down for generations to come plus it's going to be a beautiful focal point for the room and sweet place for our little boy to lay his head.

In other news...

Two more pieces of furniture and my mother's refinishing job will be complete! The furniture in the Behr Lemon Balm has exceeded all of our expectations. I have one talented mama! We've already moved a few of the pieces into the nursery. I love walking by and seeing it in there. I'm starting to get really anxious to meet our baby boy.

We celebrated Mother's Day with my mother-in-law last night. We had a nice night out and I think she really loved all of her gifts! We plan to keep it low-key tonight. We'll be supporting our local Chamber tomorrow at the first bocce tournament of the season and then we'll be spending time Sunday celebrating my mom.

I must also mention that my dear friend, Erin gave birth to one of the most precious baby boys yesterday. Hayes Carroll was born on Cinco de Mayo! Visit Erin's blog to read all about it. I just wish we lived closer so I could head over to the hospital and love on him this afternoon.

Happy Friday to all!

I do not even understand how I ended up here, but I assumed this put up was good. I don’t realize who you’re but definitely you’re going to a well-known blogger for those who are not already. Cheers!

If Karen is helping you out, the nursery will be perfection! Walker and Erin always had beautiful bedrooms, and baby Jack’s will be no different. I love the crib and all of the fabrics you have picked out. I can’t wait to see the finished product.
