French Chocolate Chip Cookies

10 oz. butter, softened
8 oz. granulated sugar
8 oz. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt

6 oz eggs
2 tsp. vanilla


1 lb. 4 oz. pastry flour (I use 1/2 All-purpose & 1/2 cake flour)
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

1 lbs. 4 oz. chocolate chips
8 oz. chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)



Step 1: Cream butter, sugars and salt

Step 2: Add eggs SLOWLY, mixing in between

Step 3: Sift flour & soda, add to creamed mixture

Step 4: Stir in chips & nuts

Step 5: Drop by scoop on parchment paper (flat cookie sheet)

Step 6: Bake in PREHEATED oven at 375 degrees for 8 - 12 minutes or just starting to brown. They will continue to cook once removed from the oven.

Step 7: Enjoy!

    OK….these cookies are not meant for this post baby eating healthy plan of mine ;-) BUT, I might just have to make them anyways! They look delicious!! Can’t wait to see what they look like!

    Ooo la la. If I had not just committed to a month sans sugar, I would be all over this recipe! As it stands, I’m printing it off and keep it handy for June 1st!
